Brave lives The campaign, launched on the occasion of the special Jubilee of Mercy proclaimed by Pope Francis, wanted to raise public awareness about the plight of children affected by rare diseases. It affects nearly 2 million people in Italy, 60% are children and in more than 80% of cases the disease is genetically determined (ISS). Among these, the 5% is diagnosed and taken over by the Paediatric Hospital Bambino Gesù, that annually receives 10,000 rare patients.
