On April 22nd, on the occasion of Earth Day 2017, the Pincio terrace in Rome was the venue for the “Earth Concert”, organized by Earth Day Italia with the support of Urban Vision, main sponsor. Fabrizio Frizzi introduced renowned artists such as Noemi, Sergio Sylvestre, Soul System, Zero Assoluto, Ron e La Scelta; the showman Antonio Mezzancella and other exceptional testimonials of the world of culture and entertainment were featured, too.
The main theme of the concert, “OVER THE WALL”, was chosen to emphasize the idea that the protection of the planet doesn’t have to be limited to the environmental heritage: it must include beauty in all its forms For this reason, during the concert, the awards “Mecenati della Bellezza” (“Mecenates of Beauty”) were handed out to those personalities standing out for their commitment to the preservation of natural and artistic goods. Daniele Di Loreto (Assicurazioni Generali Group) was awarded a special prize, on account of its corporate sponsorship actions, as well as Fabrizio Fagnola, who took care of the restoration of three very rare volumes of Ippolito Rosellini, father of Italian philology.
